The 2021 Abel Prize announcement will be conducted without an audience. The announcement will be live streamed at www.abelprisen.no The Abel Prize will be announced by the President of the Academy, Hans Petter Graver. The chair of the Abel Committee, Hans Munthe-Kaas, will give the reasons for awarding the prize. The popular science presentation of the prize winner's work will be given by Alex Bellos, British writer and science communicator. He will also talk to the prize winner to get his/her immediate response to the news of being awarded the Abel Prize.
